PHILADELPHIA — Three individuals had been killed and 10 others injured in a capturing early Monday in a South Philadelphia neighborhood, authorities stated.
The three individuals who died had been adults, and two of the wounded had been juveniles, Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel advised reporters. The capturing occurred shortly earlier than 1 a.m. alongside a residential road in Grays Ferry, he stated.
“Now we have quite a few rounds that had been shot on the block,” Bethel stated.
Police stated one individual with a weapon was taken into custody.
Bethel stated police had already responded to the identical block late Saturday into early Sunday and a few arrests had been made.
It wasn’t instantly identified what prompted the capturing.
“That is coward, want-to-be-thugs stuff,” Bethel stated.
The capturing occurred after different shootings within the metropolis and elsewhere around the U.S. over the Fourth of July weekend. These included no less than eight individuals struck by gunfire close to a South Philadelphia nightclub.
