Britain’s royal family is mourning the dying of its oldest member, the Duchess of Kent.
The duchess, Katharine, died on Thursday on the age of 92 in Kensington Palace, her longtime residence, Buckingham Palace introduced Friday.
The duchess grew to become a part of the royal household within the early Nineteen Sixties, when she married Prince Edward, the Duke of Kent, a primary cousin of the late Queen Elizabeth II.
