A suspect within the 2012 terrorist assault on the U.S. embassy in Benghazi, Libya, has been arrested and introduced again to the USA, Lawyer Normal Pam Bondi introduced Friday.
Zubayr al-Bakoush was introduced again to Andrews Air Power Base at 3:00 a.m., Bondi mentioned at a press convention alongside FBI Director Kash Patel and U.S. Lawyer Jeanine Pirro.

The suspect is charged with the homicide of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others.
Pirro mentioned Bakoush was first charged by criticism in 2015, which was sealed for 11 years. The eight-count indictment has now been unsealed, she mentioned.
“It fees Bakoush with the homicide of Ambassador Chris Stevens, the homicide of State Division worker Sean Smith, the tried homicide of State Division Particular Agent Scott Wicklund and conspiracy to supply supplies for terrorists and help that resulted within the dying of 4 Individuals, in addition to arson on the particular mission,” Pirro added.

That is the primary arrest in almost 9 years in reference to the assault.
In 2017, the U.S. captured one of many suspects within the assault — Mustafa al-Imam — and extradited him again to the U.S. for trial. He was later convicted on two prison counts and sentenced to 19 years in jail.
