Ex-DLA Piper companion accused of assault by former affiliate

An affiliate who had beforehand labored at DLA Piper is suing the legislation agency and a former companion, alleging rape and assault.
Submitting as Jane Doe, the previous affiliate accuses “high-ranking agency companion” Brian Biggs of rape, which she says occurred contained in the agency’s Wilmington, Delaware, workplace, in line with coverage on Law.com.
The grievance additionally alleges that Biggs, who was Doe’s skilled mentor, broke into her house and started strangling her.
DLA Piper is charged with harboring a hostile work setting, quid professional quo sexual harassment and retaliation.
Biggs, who left the agency in 2024, faces an assault and battery cost.
Based on a DLA spokesperson, “The agency was notified in January 2025 of a romantic relationship between a companion and an affiliate, which we investigated promptly. The affiliate made no allegations of rape to the agency.”
