Lawyer accused of making an attempt to poison her husband

An Alabama legal professional has been accused of making an attempt to poison her husband with a substance she believed to be fentanyl.
Sara Baker, 74, of Vinemont, Alabama, is accused of placing the substance in her husband’s meals or drink on three separate events in September, report the Cullman Tribune, Law & Crime, ABC 33/40, WAFF 48 and WVTM 13.
Baker was arrested Nov. 25 on fees of conspiracy to commit homicide, tried homicide, distribution of a managed substance, second-degree elder abuse, solicitation to commit a managed substance crime and second-degree home violence.
WVTV stories that Baker was caring for her husband, former Auburn College participant Doyle Baker, after he had a stroke. That they had been married for about 30 years, in line with Legislation & Crime. Doyle Baker, he’s recognized as James Doyle Baker within the grievance, is listed online as an Auburn Tigers soccer participant in 1975 and 1976.
A witness listed within the criminal complaint is a girl who was indicted in August for making an attempt to destroy proof by ingesting fentanyl. Baker was the fentanyl defendant’s lawyer within the case, ABC 33/40 stories. It’s unclear if she is the particular person Baker allegedly solicited to produce the fentanyl.
An electronic mail searching for remark despatched to Baker’s regulation places of work produced an automated reply stating she might be out of the workplace till Dec. 10. A voicemail left with Baker’s assistant at her regulation workplace was not instantly returned.
