A 47-year-old man was struck and killed by a snowplow on the Minneapolis-Saint Paul Worldwide Airport, in line with native officers.
The incident was reported shortly after 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at a parking zone close to Terminal 2, in line with Jeff Lea, a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Airports Fee, which operates the airport.
That parking zone serves the in-flight catering companies firm LSG Sky Cooks.
Temperatures have been within the higher 20s with gentle snow falling within the space on the time of the incident. Over 200 flights out of the Minneapolis-Saint Paul airport have been delayed on Tuesday.
The sufferer’s identification was not instantly launched.
The Minnesota State Patrol helps with the investigation, Lea stated.
The town of Minneapolis on Wednesday declared a snow emergency beginning at 9 p.m., which bans sure road parking.
“These guidelines assist plows in clearing the streets so emergency automobiles and different visitors can get round,” metropolis officers stated.
