President Donald Trump mentioned he is terminating commerce negotiations with Canada citing a unfavourable TV commercial about tariffs.
“They solely did this to intervene with the choice of the U.S. Supreme Courtroom, and different courts,” Trump mentioned of the Canadian commercial in a submit on his social media platform. “TARIFFS ARE VERY IMPORTANT TO THE NATIONAL SECURITY, AND ECONOMY, OF THE U.S.A. Based mostly on their egregious habits, ALL TRADE NEGOTIATIONS WITH CANADA ARE HEREBY TERMINATED.”
In a White Home assembly with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney earlier this month, Trump signaled optimism a few potential U.S.-Canada commerce deal, saying the 2 sides had “come a great distance” in negotiations.
